ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
Even though it’s almost June, I could not forget about Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
The month of May celebrates the cultures, heritages, and history of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in America.
The month of May was declared Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month to honor the Japanese immigrants who came to America on May 7, 1843. In addition, this month also honors the Chinese immigrants who completed the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869.
"Asian Pacific American Heritage Month" was established in 1977 where the first ten days of the month of May honored Asian American heritage. However, it wasn't until 1990 that President Bush declared the whole month to be Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
So, I hope May was a fantastic month for everyone and I hope you all learned a bit more about your fellow Americans and how diverse we all are!

It’s a wonderful group of creative and talented women who are based in Massachusetts. This amazing group was also started and run by two Asian women. So, I recommend checking them out because I was fortunate to meet these two great ladies as well as other strong and powerful women!
